Project brief:
The task was to design a digital, game-based intervention that harnesses the powerful act of playing as a means to encourage meaningful connection, which is premised on a particular prompt.

Project deliverables:
1. Process documentation including:
  1.1 Initial research
  1.2 Visual identity development
  1.3 Game development and prototyping
  1.4 Rationale

Design Strategy:
Through research of the user of the is game, it was decided that the the change that was to be implemented in these children was an increase in empathy towards not only nature, but to their peers and friends.

When speaking to children, in order to create a game informed by their ideas, we noticed their ability to create and maintain friendships are generally limited. Children are being raised in a post-pandemic society which is hyper-individualistic and relies on technology for connection.

Taking this into consideration the idea was then crafted to create an agency named C.H.O.M.I. that is focused on the assistance and protection of animals around the globe. The identity of the agency would then form a fundamental basis of the game that was further crafted through user testing. Through C.H.O.M.I., children can learn the value of friendship and how to incorporate the aspects that make it last into their everyday lives.
